2016 Terra d’Oro Pinot Grigio, Santa Barbara, Central Coast, California – Regularly $14.99

Sunny, seaside, beautiful Santa Barbara County is a great match for Pinot Grigio. Terra d’Oro Pinot Grigio entices with a nose of ripe, bright pear and clover blossom. Rich and dense, the mouth oozes with juicy pear and stone fruit flavors, finishing with an elegant touch of toasted French oak. Try pairing this delightful wine with a mild cheese and fruit plate.

Critical Acclaim 2016 – Wine Enthusiast 86 Points

The aromas of this full-bodied sweet-seeming wine are floral and honey-like, followed by rich ripe honeydew melon and peach-syrup flavors and a soft mouth-clinging texture. It’s not the usual style, but tasty in its own right.

2016 Folie à Deux Chardonnay, Russian River, Sonoma County, California – Regularly $16.99

The Folie à Deux co-owners are ex-psychiatrists. Folie à Deux literally means ”a madness shared by two.” The fruit for this Chardonnay was selected from seven premier vineyards throughout the Russian River Valley. Following harvest, the grapes were fermented in French, American and Hungarian oak barrels to maintain bright acidity, add complexity and showcase the variety’s rich fruit flavors.  Indicative of its cool climate origins, this wine has a bright acidity beneath notes of pineapple, peach, satsuma, orange blossom, cotton candy and toasted bread. Flavors of ripe orchard fruit and toasty spiced oak are accompanied by a creamy mid-palate. This wine is medium-bodied with a memorable crispness.

2012 Clarendelle Red Bordeaux, Pessac-Leognan, Bordeaux, France – Regularly $17.99

Critical Acclaim 2012 – Wine Advocate 88 Points

This is the generic Bordeaux from the Domaine Clarence Dillon. I think they have been right on the money with what they have achieved with this blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot and a little Cabernet Franc. Deep ruby/purple, with notes of Graves-like scorched earth, charcoal and blackcurrants, this wine is dense, medium-bodied, quite supple and rich. Despite its precociousness, it clearly has capacity, with this depth and structure, to age 7-10 years.

Critical Acclaim 2012 – Wine Enthusiast 88 Points

This is a soft, fruity wine with comfortable tannins and bold black fruits. It is smoothly textured with just a hint of dryness.

2016 Maggio Cabernet Sauvignon, Lodi, California (An Oak Ridge Wine) – Regularly $10.99

This Lodi Cabernet contains rich berry fruit with oak and vanilla notes. With hints of baking spices, it reminds one of a mouthwatering berry pie, tasty crust and all! It has a medium body and gentle tannins making for a very pleasurable wine. Just right!

2016 Napa Cellars Sauvignon Blanc, Napa Valley, California – Regularly $15.99

Aromas of vibrant gooseberry, pineapple and fresh pink grapefruit followed by flavors of pear, guava, passion fruit, lime, sweet clover and melon.

Critical Acclaim 2016 – Tasting Panel 90 Points

A fragrant mélange of lime blossom, peach, candied pineapple and kiwi. Fermented in 100% stainless steel tanks, the liquid is lightweight with standout tropical-fruit notes. A creaminess on the mid-palate softens the mineral tones and works with a marvelous acidity.

Critical Acclaim 2016 – Wine Enthusiast 90 Points

Stainless-steel aging retains a welcome crispness in this wine, which evolves in the glass into a medium-bodied, fleshy expression of peach, melon and butter. It’s well integrated and approachable.

2017 Proemio Chardonnay, Mendoza, Argentina (ORGANIC) – Regularly $9.99

Proemio – Prologue in old Medieval Spanish, stands for kick- start or first page. The 2017 Proemio Chardonnay shows clear yellow color with green hues and intense aromas of pineapple, peach, banana and hints of vanilla. In the palate this Chardonnay shows fresh fruit flavors with a crisp acidity, a creamy texture and a balanced finish. Aging: 30% aged for 6 months in French oak barrels.

2015 7 Deadly Red Blend, Lodi, Central Valley, California – Regularly $17.99

This dangerously delicious wine erupts with fresh vibrant blackberry and dark cherry fruit. Ageing in both French and American oak adds to the wine’s complexity showing clove spice, hints of campfire smoke and vanilla undertones. This wine is well balanced with a rich lengthy finish.

Critical Acclaim 2015 – Wine Enthusiast 91 Points

Powerful oaky elements meet very ripe and concentrated fruit flavors in this deeply colored, bold and full-bodied wine. Charcoal, wood smoke and clove aromas are followed by blackberry jam and black-cherry flavors, while light, smoky and peppery nuances weave through them. While the first whiff is oaky, everything comes together well on the palate and finish.

2015 The Crusher Petite Sirah, California – Regularly $13.99

The Crusher’s Petite Sirah is an inky violet color with vivid aromas of ripe plum, blackberry, fig preserves, and pomegranate. The pronounced aromas ring true on the palate with bold flavors of juicy plum, baked fig, and ripe blackberries. The wine is juicy, full-bodied with a rich texture, has smooth tannins with beautifully extracted color. It imparts an impressive flavor with a lushness that lingers on the finish. Petite Sirah is a powerful varietal and this one is no exception.

Blend: 85% Petite Sirah, 6% Merlot, 4% Zinfandel, 3% Tempranillo, 1% Carignan, 1% Mourvèdre

Critical Acclaim 2015 – Wilfred Wong of Wine.com 90 Points

An excellent value, the 2015 Crusher Petite Sirah simply delivers what it takes to be delicious. Ripe, grapey, and full of primary fruit, this wine satisfies nicely from its aromas to its finish.
